Let me start by saying the food is excellent 5 stars. The building zero stars, I grabbed my chair to get closer to the table and the bottom was so sticky it felt like it was dipped in maple syrup. The menu was taped together and had more smudges and stains than my kids windows in the car. The bathroom floor was stupid sticky, it felt like I had Velcro on my shoes every step. Then after looking around at all this I realized they keep the lights so low that you can’t see how filthy this place really is. Picture a old style Denny’s/Taco Bell/truck stop but with 90% of the lights off. That’s the level of clean I’m talking about. Now I’m not against eating at a stick floor, crappy chair, nasty bathroom place. But I am against paying $75 for 2 people to eat at a place like this. I shouldn’t have to wipe my shoes in the grass to clean them before getting in my truck when the bill is that much.

I had a great time watching the chef prepare the meal for us at the hibachi right in front of us. My group got lucky enough to have the head chef prepare our meal. He was hilarious and very skilled. The thing I wasn't thrilled about was the cold air vent that was blowing on my group from the start. I know it is there because sitting next to the grill while it is being used can get warm, but there is a good 15-20 minutes before that happens where it is just uncomfortable. Next time, I will be keeping my coat on until the chef begins!

Just left this restaurant. We are from out of the area and were here to run the 5/3 Riverbank Run in GR and celebrate our wedding anniversary. Was told upon arrival we had a 45 min wait. Waited 75 minutes for a hibachi table. Left at that point. Was not given the option to be seated on the other side of the restaurant even though we asked about it when we first arrived. Hostess was not apologetic about the lengthy wait. Very disappointed with the experience here and will definitely not be returning or recommending it to our peers.

So generally I love this place. Love the food, love the service, and the atmosphere as well. As of today at 6 pm 3/25/18, I am very disappointed in everything that I thought Kobe stood for. The service was slow, took about 10 minutes to get seated and there were only 3 tables dining. Took several minutes to get all the drinks to the table. It took about 20 minutes to get a Virgin daiquiri to the table. THE CHEF WAS EXCELLENT!!!! I have no complaints of the chef! As always he was one of my favs!!! As the chef was ending is amazing cooking the overhead exhaust system started dripping oil/grease into my yum yum sauce. The chef told me to contact the manager as it was not his fault. I completely agreed with him. It was due to not emptying there grease traps, said one of the consumers at the table. So I contacted the manger, he acted like it happens all the time. At this point I just wanted him to fix the issue and make it right with my yum yum sauce. He took the tainted sauce, and left the grease to drip and splatter towards our plates. The manager returned with a cloth and new yum yum sauce. Little did I know that after he wiped down the overhead exhaust, it would continue to drip once more. I decided it was time to leave as I was disgusted. Received the bill and to no surprise there was extra charging on it to stuff we didn’t even order. I made this matter known to the waitress. I have never experienced such lack of customer service in my life. After further discussing my bill they took off 5% for all the hassles and discrepancies. Which I fully appreciated. My children used the restroom and said it was very disgusting. Sticky floors, toilets not clean. I just feel that the integrity is going down hill. Most people say if the bathroom is dirty so is the kitchen. Kobe is not what it use to be and for that I may never enter another again.

Good and cook were great as usual. Place is getting in need of serious cleaning...counter where you eat is sticky and carpeting could use a deep clean. Asking that management take care of this do we can keep coming.
