The food was awesome. Service was fantastic. This is a smaller place which will need more room in the near future. The small size probably affected the speed and timing of our four plates were served to us. Two of us were served probably 5-10 minutes before the other two. I realize this is a small issue in the scope of things so I only say this as larger groups may be difficult to accommodate. To be completely fair to this situation there seemed to be quite the large amount of pick up orders & Grubhub orders at the same time as our dinner which may have backed up the kitchen as well. Most importantly the food was great. Their take out bags are fantastic. 😀

My whole family LOVES Abacus! We even drove out to the old location on the other end of 28th street when they moved. Great dishes and people. So happy to have her back in town.!

Food is delicious, service is great. Possibly the best Chinese food I have had in the area. We had wontons for an appetizer and they were crispy and full of filling. Followed that with a bowl of the corn chicken soup which was really good. I had the sesame chicken as my main and it was far more than I could eat and really good. I would definitely recommend eating here.

I have been following this family around for years!! I started my obsession with Abacus when they were located on 28th st, near Grandville, then they reopened as Mandarin, on 28th st in Kentwood... so when they closed last year, I was devastated. They were our favorite place to go for family meals.... So when I was driving through Grandville and saw their sign, I was like "Could it really be them?!?" Last night I brought my daughter's in for dinner, and was greeted by two smiling (familiar) faces!! I am so overjoyed that they reopened. They have THE BEST Chinese food!!! My favorite is the Mongolian Beef and Crab Rangoons, and they were amazing, and just as I remembered them. I also tried a seafood noodle soup from their Korean menu (you have to ask for their Korean menu) and that was great too. Their noodles were hand made, which I am told they are the only place in town that makes their noodles from scratch. Their attention to detail really makes all the difference. The only thing I was disappointed about, is that they no longer offer a buffet. Their food is so good, I like to sample it all. It's a must try, for anyone looking for quality Chinese food, and affordable prices. ♡

Possibly the most tenderbeef I've had outside of a fine dining steakhouse. Crab rangoons are very crispy and fresh whenever we order.
