Just wanted to say Carla and the staff at the County Seat did an excellent job for us planning and hosting my Son and Daughter in law's wedding reception. Carla did a great job making menus, setting up the room and providing wait staff for this event. The food was top notch and everyone was very happy with the reception... And the cost was so reasonable. I recommend the County Seat to anyone. Thanks again Carla for an awesome reception....

Had my soon to be daughter-in-law's bridal shower here yesterday, could not be more pleased. Every guest commented on the beauty of the room, the food was excellent and the staff was amazing. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went here for the first time this past Saturday and have to say we were very happy with our choice!! Holly the bartender was very friendly and told us about the history of the County Seat Lounge and other things to do in the Barry county area. We both ordered the chicken sandwich, my wife had the sour cream fries and I had the onion rings. The fries were great and the onion rings were hand cut and hand battered - and very good!!! The chicken on the sandwich was a full breast and was battered and cooked to perfection - best chicken sandwiches we have ever had. We will certainly be back and will look to try the steak and shrimp combo.

I tend to forget about how good the food is at the County Seat Lounge. My steak was cooked perfectly. And of course the food was just spectacularly good. If you're ever in downtown Hastings you should try it out. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for through excellent service and great food.

Never ever again. We tried to give this purveyor of bad food one more chance. To say it was food was a slight to food. Everything was cold. The hamburgers, the meat loaf, the fries, the chicken strips. You name it. The meat loaf was so over cooked it had a very thick ring of burned meat . It was so dry it came in pieces. The blob of potatoes were tasteless and cold. The menu said it came with haystack onion rings. Never made it out of the haystack. Wait staff was attentive. Who ever wrote the menu was very creative. Unfortunately the cook, not chef, either was not consulted or can’t read.
