Fun German restaurant in an unassuming side road in Detroit. The food is good German food, music is lively, and the waitress was even dressed in a beer maid outfit. A great place to go with friends or family.

This is such a cool old bar! The entire interior is designed and decorated to look like an old German beer hall! They serve their own beer and have a short, German food menu. They also have a gated, guarded parking lot. Last time I went there I ordered a cheese and sausage platter, and the amount of food was enough for three of us! I really enjoyed myself here.

Beautiful space and great menu. Best potato pancakes I've ever had, Dad agrees. Only room for improvement would be no free refills. Looking forward to returning soon!

It's like walking into a German beer garden from 80 years ago. It's a gem. Years ago Bob Milne played piano there. "Milne is an active Musical Ambassador for the United States Dept. of State." This place has history. I have to say under full disclosure it's my old neighborhood and I attended elementary school down the street. Go, you enjoy your time there.

If you're going there expecting good service, don't ! The food is average and the service sucks !! Their main draw is drinkers who participate in a sing-a- long which the staff spends most of their effort conducting. Just try to get your bill while all this is going on. You are told to wait (until the shenanigans are over). Then they will get you your bill. I had to leave to be somewhere and had to wait 20 minutes to get my bill AND I spoke to the manager who didn't help at all. I should have walked out since they didn't seem concerned with me paying but I waited and was late to my appointment
