Classic menu, great casual atmosphere, friendly service, and great food! Definitely not just one of those restaurants that you go to just once to see what everyone is talking about. I can see myself coming here for years. The brunch is absolutely one of the best in town. The menu and atmosphere make it really hard to go anywhere else.

I think the Morrie is my new favorite spot in Royal Oak. If you like live music, this is your place! If you go early it's a good spot to grab some food and a drink, and at night it gets really fun. They have live music in there pretty often, mostly cover bands, but I've been impressed so far. I will say that it can be a little hit or miss in there though. I've been there on a Friday night, a while back, when it was suprisingly quiet. Seems to be getting more popular now though!

My visit here didn't start out so well - pulled into their parking lot only to find it costs $6 to park there (and the sign advertising this is not easily visible from the street). Then as we walked in the host was on the phone for almost 10 minutes before he could even acknowledge us - it was 4pm and not busy (always take care of the people in front of you before people on the phone!) But our server was attentive and the food was great.

Food wasnt great except the waffle fries. Those were awesome! I had a burger and sweet potato tots which were less than thrilling. The service was also horrible. Our waitress had a party and completely ignored us. Took almost an hour to order food and close to 2 hours before we got our checks. I wouldn't come back to this establishment for anything more than a drink.

A PREJUDICE ESTABLISHMENT...their waitresses will tell you where you can't sit while the hostess tells you to sit wherever. They will bring you what you didn't order, then allow customers to throw wet napkins at you...at least you'll get free food when you call them out on their racism. Brisket Mac and cheese is not bad though.
