Best burgers in Wisconsin, maybe anywhere. This place deserves the hype 100x over. Fantastic food, skilled cooks, nostalgic atmosphere and friendly service. A burger isn’t worth eating if the bun isn’t toasted. Do yourself a favor and get 2 burgers with everything and add a butterscotch malt. You won’t regret stopping in. They have been going strong since the 1940s and there is a reason for that.

Small portions, but small prices to match them! Get two double cheeseburgers and a chocolate shake! Also, nothing ties a good burger together like a good bun, and the buns are locally made. If the smell of a wood-fired grill cooking fresh beef is your thing, you've found the place. Fantastic 50's atmosphere. It's a little cozy in here, but that's half the fun. My wife took me here the first time she showed me her hometown of Menominee nearly ten years ago, and we've been coming back on nearly every visit.

I will always love Mickey Lu's! It's our local secret that didn't stay secret Lol! Best burgers still made on their original grill. Best part is their malts. They still use the original malt syrup instead of the powder. I LOVE their Malts!!! Especially the pineapple or the butterscotch (even better when you combine them)

Mickey-Lu-BBQ is a throwback to the 1950s-era malt shop and that's a good thing. The butterscotch malt that I ordered was very good. It was creamy, but not too rich - a nice balance of butterscotch and malt flavorings. The 12 oz. size was perfect; it allowed me to enjoy the rest of the meal without getting uncomfortably full. As for the double cheeseburger, the patties are thinner than I prefer and a little dry. However, they were well prepared and full of charcoal flavor. And I thoroughly enjoyed the ketchup, onions, pickles and butter that topped the burger. While the faded counter tops gave away the age of the building, the restaurant itself it spotless. I enjoyed my experience at Mickey-Lu's, though it was more for the setting than it was for the food. But for just $7, my stomach was full and my soul was refreshed, and that's a pretty good deal these days.

Absolutely one of the best burgers you can have. We love watching them make them on the coal grill. Everything is inexpensive. Worth every penny. Great burgers, tasty pies and amazing service.
