Stopped on Wednesday morning around 9 and we were seated quickly no wait. Parking lot is sizable for the restaurant. Hubby had looked at the online menu and that's how he decided on this place in our travels. However once we got the menus he noticed they were quite different, with fewer items on the actual menu. I ordered the kielbasa platter. The kielbasa was very tasty and seasoned well. Eggs were cooked a little over done to how I ordered (over medium), hash browns were crispy and cooked just how I like them! The sour dough toast was a bit over toasted but still ok to eat. Hubby ended up getting the granny omelette special. He wanted to add sausage to it but since it was the "special" they couldn't do that but could bring a side of sausage. We ordered the "muffin toast" because we'd never had that before and I thought it would be similar to an English muffin but it just seemed like regular bread. He did say the omelette was very tasty. Coffee refills were a tad slow, just to the point of looking around for someone, but at least we didn't have to get up to find someone for refills. They were however attentive in asking if there was anything else we needed. Be sure to check in on Yelp as they have a 10% discount available. So over all good food, nothing spectacular but still good tasting, and friendly staff.

For a Southerner, this is what I consider good Midwestern food. After stepping off the airplane, this is the first place I go to on my way into Iowa. Pork tenderloin sandwich? Huge and tender, served with a smile. I had my first rhubarb pie at this place and it was Fabulous! Great service. Love watching the pies turn in the lobby.

Fabulous first time! Would definitely recommend. Home cooked meals, ALL YOU CAN EAT fish on Fridays!!! Quiet and casual atmosphere. Home made desserts in the pie case, so save room for dessert!

Quiet place for a family meal. Service was great. Staff were very friendly. We were expecting a fancier dining experience but it is more like eating at my grandma’s house without the odd smell. I wasn’t super impressed with the food quality compared to say Perkins nearby. Gotta say the tator tots were yummy. Hours are confusing as they change in the winter and aren’t posted anywhere. They do offer Bridgemans ice cream which is hard to find and always a treat.

Good, fresh food. Nice staff. Only little diwnfall is it is geared soooo much towards the elderly community.
