J's has been around forever, but I hadn't been there in maybe 10+ years. Food is tasty and a great value (food portion sizes are good and prices are cheaper than franchise restaurants). Staff is extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and constantly moving. We don't drink, but we sat in the bar area and people seemed happy with their drinks. They had meat raffles and drink raffles while we were there. Place is clean but lighting is a bit dark. Overall, we were very impressed and plan to return.

Always good food! Edit: Google is having a hard time understanding that this is actually 2 separate places. Please be aware that all my responses are for the restaurant portion. It rocks and so does the staff.

Good food for breakfast and a really good selection. Price's are not too expensive either. Service is good and staff are nice and friendly. My kids live going here after Church every week.

A classic Minnesota dive bar with cushy, well-worn booth seats and 70's decor. Staff is friendly and the place is low-keyed and dark (it's in the basement and the entrance is in the back alley). Beer is cheap, bathroom is small and worn (but acceptable) and there are plenty of TV's for sports watching.
