This is one of my least favorite twin cities restaurants at this price point. While the grilled octopus was fine, my entre was a cold mishmash of random, poorly seasoned components. It was a special - lamb chops. There was cold squash that wasn't seasoned and tasted of rancid oil. There were weird cold walnut studded, smoked dates that were acrid and distracting. And the thoughtless pile of generic micro greens on top of 2/3 of their entrees isn't fooling anyone who's been out to eat in the last decade. Additionally my wife's salmon was supposed to be medium, but it came out with a cool center (which I like but my wife doesn't). She had to send it back to have them cook it more. No excuse at a restaurant that wants to complete at this echelon to not know how to cook fish. Perhaps sanctuary was once good. My guess is that proximity to the Guthrie has made them lazy.

The owner was so kind and really made me feel like a special customer. The environment is warm and cozy, but classy. The marrow was wonderful with the garlic and thyme. The fillet was so tender I barely had to chew.

Amazing from the moment we walked in. Incredible food and drinks. Your mouth will thank you for eating here. Top notch food. The warm mulled wine they make and serve is SO GOOD!!! Service is great, good is all fresh.i HIGHLY recommend. And that fresh key lime "pie" dessert with super fresh fruit and sorbet... again AMAZING.

My girlfriend and I are staying at the aloft hotel across the street and decided to check Sanctuary out. This place was amazing. The owner was so nice and the food was heavenly. Easily one of my favorite restaurants I have ever been to.

We had a wonderful evening here. We celebrated our first anniversary and now came back for our 10th anniversary. The food, service, and ambiance were just as great 10 years later. We look forward to another delightful evening here in the future.
