The food is excellent. The service was very attentive to our needs.

The building itself is charming, but unfortunately quality in food and service has somehow gotten worse. Chapati has always filled a niche for "Indian food in Downtown Northfield," but has never been the best Indian food in Northfield. Until it became the *only* Indian food in Northfield. Sorry to be so scathing, but I feel like I need to counteract all of the ultra-positive reviews. If you don't mind oily food and poor service, just need a quick fix for something vaguely resembling popular Indian food, then you'll probably be fine with Chapati. Just stick with the absolute basics; the last Malai Kofta I had there was vile. If you love Indian food, I recommend getting in your car and driving about 40 min North of Chapati.

My favorite Indian restaurant. Our favorite dishes are papadum, paneer pakora, veg Korma, dal makhani, chicken jal farezi, garlic naan and the chocolate naan for dessert.

September 10, 2017 (Jesse James Days) - Chaptai is one of my favorite places to eat in Northfield. As usual I ate from the buffet and was completely satisfied. The food is outstanding and the people are very friendly. Recommended for anyone. For Vegan diners - there are a number of known vegan choices on the menu and if you don't see what you want they are very accommodating.

Had the lunch buffet. Good mix of vegetarian and meat based dishes. Kept the buffet full and the food was great.
