Great food but such sub-par service. My wife and I went for dinner and ordered three appetizers (intermittently throughout the evening). Right before the third order my wife asked if we could get some bread (as one appetizer had excess sauce). Waitress replied she would have to charge us as we didn’t order an entree. I asked if she could make an exception as we ordered three apps—highly unusual for a group of two. She gave a stern look and said she would. After a long time, she returned to fill up waters and I inquired on the decision...she seemed annoyed with my follow up, and said she would still have to charge. I was irritated that at her demeanor and would have appreciated a more sincere person, regardless of the policy or end result. I honestly expected better. Not planning on returning any time soon

Our first time at 300 First and it will not be the last. The food was exceptional and our server, Joni, went out of her way to make the dining experience memorable. Although we did not have any drinks there is a wide selection at reasonable prices. There is parking behind the restaurant (and for the Redwood Room - another fine place) and a wheelchair ramp if needed.

We ate at this restaurant mostly because it was near the hotel. There is another restaurant downstairs that's apparently owned by the same folks. So don't get confused as to what door to use like we did ... The good: nice atmosphere, friendly staff, generally good food. The steaks were (mostly) flavorful, the garlic potatoes, asparagus, and beets were tasty. The not so good: my wife and I ordered the same steak and the cuts were not remotely of the same thickness but were otherwise ~ the same size, the steak was not as hot as it should have been, and therefore the chilled ($2.00 extra) butter wouldn't really melt. My wife's steak was consistently good end-to-end but about 1/4 of mine was flavorless. Lastly it's not necessarily overly, but definitely kinda, spendy for what you get. Would probably give a it 3-1/2 if that was an option.

The atmosphere is great. The food is ok. The prices are ridiculous. My wife and I were given a $50 gift card. We had a very basic dinner and we still ended up paying about $15 of our own money before tip. It was a nice date though

Wonderful atmosphere! Excellent service, Cassie was amazing! Would definitely come back! Perfect dinner experience from the moment we walked in until we left.
