It's been maybe 2 years since I stopped in here with a contingent of co-workers. It did then, and still to this day, ranks as the best steak I have ever had. For perspective, 10 years ago I went to the number 1 ranked steak restaurant in the country. Not even comparable. Also happens to have the best tamales I've ever encountered! Place is unassuming. You walk through the kitchen like you're walking in to grandmas house. The sirloin will easily feed 2 to 3 people.

Doe's is not a fancy restaurant It is in the original building. They even have a security guard outside that watches the vehicles while you are eating. You walk through the kitchen to the dining area.Tamales, salad, and fried shrimp are wonderful. If you are wanting a great steak, this is the place to go. The filet has always been cooked to perfection! Yes, it is pricey but it is well worth it in my opinion. If going on the weekend, I would suggest making reservations. Staff and service has been great too.

AMAZING porterhouse steak! If you want a no-frills experience with great food and a story to tell, this is the place. I had read the reviews and was expecting to leave with a bill of $100/person but my friend and I split a porterhouse, ate an order of tamales, had great salads, brought our own wine (no cord charge) had leftovers to take home for $88. I wouldn't go here every Friday night for dinner, but definitely for an experience to remember.

Overpriced definitely. It was a big steak but the cut of meat was terrible. The steak was too charred also. Bigger isn't always better for sure. I've had way better flavor elsewhere and a lot cheaper. I have eat at a lot of steak houses and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but this place is way overrated!

A Family business. The best Steak I've ever had!! Pricey, yes! Ambiance is casual, relaxed. Located in the same run down Shack where they have been for 50 years and in a bad area of the town. Do not let any of that discourage you!
