This is an authentic bayou restaurant. I do not even like seafood but my husband does. He groans when he eats the catfish with crayfish gravy. And I have had the salmon and pasta bowl with Italian meatballs. Both were out of this world. We are going back tomorrow for Muffalettas. The staff is wonderful and I love the music as well. There is also a smoking section and a bar. Highly recommend!!

Great Gator Tail and Jambalaya! Fantastic service and atmosphere. Only been here once, but will definitely be back! The prices are great also. If you like Cajun/Creole, you need to give The Bayou a try.

We were in town for a business trip and decided to eat dinner at The Bayou. The waitress was very knowledgeable and kind and the owner even came out to talk to us about his background and the food. The food was amazing and there was a generous serving of each dish we ordered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and if I happen to be in Monett again, I will definitely eat there!

We went on a weeknight and there was Zero wait time. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating the waitress and the hostess were very friendly. They have a very large menu and the food is priced reasonable for that style of restaurant. Everyone in our party of four was very satisfied with their meals and Portion sizes. We got plenty to eat, yet clean our plates. It was a special occasion so we bought dessert and I had the best warm pecan pie I've ever had in my life, and I've ate a lot of pecan pies. I highly recommend this place for burgers and Seafood.

Loved the food and atmosphere. They were out of some things but we got there rather late. Reasonable prices- thought the mixed drink was wonderful but a little pricey. The food we did get was excellent. The okra..dunno what they fry in or what have you, but it was THE BEST I have ever had. The batter on my shrimp and alligator was a salt overload for me, but overall we really enjoyed it. Definitely want to go back and try some other things. Oh, and the fried pickles 👌👌👌 delish!
