I go to Rolla once or twice a year and almost always eat at Kyoto. It is conveniently located near the college and has a good selection of food. Their sushi and sashimi is good considering it is a small town in Missouri. I would put it on part with around 90% of the places in Kansas city and they make it when you order it. Their other entrees are good as they have a Japanese selection of tempura and teriyaki as well as other staples. They also have a separate Chinese menu which is like your typical American Chinese fast food. Everything I have ever gotten has been good and is made to order. Every person I have encountered has been courteous as well.

Love their food. Always tastes fresh and the presentation of the meals are done with care. Staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. The Spider Roll is my favorite.

They have so much yummy Chinese dishes as well as Japanese! Although sometimes the service is low due to it being SO popular, it has been worth the wait every time. If you’re trying it out for the first time, I suggest going when they’re not as busy so you can actually enjoy the food instead of getting angry about the wait. Again, this place has the best Chinese dishes in Rolla and as for the Japanese dishes, I don’t know because I haven’t tried them yet.
