Nice restaurant in historic Downtown St. Charles. Good Stake Sandwich, good Cesar Salad, good California Wrap, good Sweet Potato Fries, and really good Peach Cobbler. Only okay service as it took over 10 minutes for our waiter to return to take our order and no water refills.

My boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed with our first, and only, experience at Braden’s. Saturday we went and order the lobster Rangoon, and toasted Ravs, those were great. He ordered a burger and I ordered a tuna steak. We waited over 30 minutes, which I was okay with. However I only had my drink filled once in the over hour and a half we were there and after waiting 45 minutes the waitress informed me that the staff had ran out tuna steak and made me a tuna sandwich instead. She asked if that was okay and said she would “discount” the meal. Having already waited for so long I didn’t want my boyfriends food to go cold while I ordered something else. She was hardly apologetic and made sure to wait as long as possible to communicate the issue. The “discount” was the three dollar difference between the steak and sandwich. The waitress, we hardly saw, and the service was terrible. I did not go out to enjoy a tuna sandwich I could have made at home for half the price. I would never recommend anyone waste a nice night out on such a terrible experience.

Nice casual place on the main street through downtown Old St. Charles. Good food and service, plus great views from a very pleasant patio with table parasols. Super place for a cool drink and to people watch during the summer.

I went for my first visit on Saturday with a group of six and we were all disappointed and angry with the experience. The service was EXTREMELY slow, they only filled our drinks once and with the wrong drinks (water in sprite glass etc.), they got two of our orders wrong and two others came out cold. They redid the wrong orders, but took forever to bring out the new food. They only discounted a portion of the two wrong orders. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and honestly just odd. I'll never go back.

Fabulous place. Lobster bisque came highly recommended by tourist center. The waiter touched up the Bloody Maria quite well. Loved the atmosphere and music. All wonderful.
