Great service. Friendly servers. Good drinks. Nice patio. Just had a meat and cheese plate so not really sure about food. Pet friendly. If you don't like dogs, go somewhere else.

The beer selection is good and all but I have never been more disrespected in a bar. We were their only customers and they threw a fit about the music we played from their jukebox. Then the bartender got a little snappy about us asking for a refund since our songs got skipped. I honestly really enjoyed the environment until I had to deal with the staff. Owning a bar means sometimes dealing with music that's not your fav. But disrespecting customers for their taste is wrong and telling them you plan on skipping a song they PAID for is not ok.

The outside patio, next to the brick building next to a running stream, with brick floor-- nice, very nice. So great place for a cool drink in the summer. The downstairs bar -looks- good in the photos, but gotta tell you, it's a little grimy. But perhaps that's what their clientele like. Draws a good crowd.

I have not had a negative experience in Old Saint Charles yet. Right next to the Trail Head brewery is the Mill Stream Inn. It's arranged in an old English Pub style. There is plenty of outside seating on nice days. There is a smoking bar downstairs with the added bonus of being pet friendly. The spirits menu is generous with both local, domestic, and international beer, wine, and liquor. The food is traditional "Pub Fare." It's all delicious. If I were to take away a star it would be because they can be extremely busy on the weekends.

Great food, the best burgers, crab cakes to die for. Mill fries!!! Amazing beers, try the Aventinus. Wonderful pet friendly patio seating. And huge paintings of all four Beatles in the dining room, can't beat that!!! :) Took my wife here on our first date, knew she was a keeper when she sat down under George. The Old Mill Stream has the mojo!
