I've given this place a few tries and every visit is worse than the last. Recently, I arrived around 7pm - 730 and we were seated at a hibachi grill. Waited for over an hour for other guests to arrive and for the chef to come over. Once the chef arrived he was noticeably intoxicated or under the influence of something. He was making sexual references in front of my children and continued to do so multiple times. His cart was not prepared with the items needed for our meal. He was banging his spatulas messily and so loud that my children and I were uncomfortable. My chicken was not cooked completely, my steak was cooked too much. And when receiving my bill, I was overcharged. It was fixed, but I highly recommend you choose any place other than this. Extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable.

I have been to KiTARO many times and have never been disappointed. Service is always wonderful- friendly, funny and entertaining. Dining at the teppen tables is always a fun time. Don't fill up on the rice! The food is delicious and I always have plenty of leftovers. This is not a fast food restaurant so don't expect to be in and out in 30 mins. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show. You won't be disappointed.

Was excited to try this place. Great look from outside. Walked in and the Hostess told a co-worker, loudly that she is too busy for stupid questions. She then took us to our table, tossed the menus down and left without a word. Waiter came by, he had zero personality, seemed to hate his job and look tired. Btw, the entire place is filthy, menus are sticky, booths are poorly constructed and their is food all over the floor. We ordered Lettuce Wraps, lettuce had brown spots and the food was horrendous. We could only finish one bite. Waiting for entrees, waiter leaning against a wall in the kitchen. I want to leave, but wife wants to stay and see if entree improves. Guess what, entrees are even worse. Wow, horrible. I will leave 15% tip. But will not be returning. Yikes.....

Great time had by the whole family! Food was great and the service was outstanding! They also have a nice call ahead feature, if you're more than 3 hours before you plan on going!

Delicious Japanese food! The Hibachi chefs are very friendly and very talented. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. When we do the Hibachi, we always have leftovers since the portions are so big.
