I enjoy this place. It is sort of small and can be very loud at times but the food is very enjoyable. It feels like I'm back in Hanover Germany at times enjoying some delicious currywurst or purple cabbage. Also you can get a very nice sized beer here which is nice after a long day. Accompany your beer with the giant pretzel and some of their pretzel cheese and you may not make it to dinner.

My wife and I, who is a very big German buff and lived there for a year, and has taught the language in Montana's universities, chose to visit this restaurant for Valentines weekend. We were VERY pleased! Great service, including one of the managers, and were taken very good care of. Half price drinks while you wait, which might be a little while if it's busy. I feel that this establishment should probably triple in size! Somewhat of a small area...Live music (at least when we were there on a Saturday night) which was performed by a pretty authentic looking German individual who sang and played an accordion, perhaps a little too loud for the small quarters, but was very fun. Wonderful array of entrees and great German crafted (and Montana made) beers. Great wine list as well. Simply because of being busy, they forgot our salads, which was no big deal, but we received a free dessert for it! Wonderful menagerie of gifts, snacks and knickknacks as well. Definitely recommend it! Fun, unique place for Billings!

This place surprised the hell out of me. Absolutely STUNNINGLY good food. Their pretzels are unlike any you can get anywhere in Billings, their beer-cheese sauce is made in-house and is perfection, the schnitzel is perfect, and they have a great beer selection. I will be coming back here again and again!

I hear their food it good. However, my wife and I went there and were ignored for about 10 -15 minutes at the door. Then when we were seated there was no apologies. We sat and waited another 15 minutes until my wife went in to see what was taking so long and saw the waiter waiting on people that came in after we did. We got up to leave and the owner or manager came out and said, "It is Tuesday and we are really busy." Again, no apology for the wait - and no offer for a free drink or discount. The people next to us said, "The food is so good" to which I replied, "We heard that but we would not know as we have been here for 40 minutes and still have not been served". The service is horrendous and I see this business failing soon because of it. I give it a year or two.

Wonderful place. Good German food. Well worth the visit. Will definitely go there again. The owners are warm, kind people.
