Best papaya salad I’ve tried. Sweet, spicy, savory, sour, crunchy, soft, toasty and a hint of fish sauce. The seafood pad Thai was very good. Very good portions. Service was friendly, calm decor and everything was clean.

The Facebook page that the website links to is not official, and the website it links to is not the correct restaurant, it is for one in Portland? So the menu is also incorrect. I've suggested the edit to Google but just in case I doesn't get approved, be aware the info is wrong. Service was painfully slow, and one thing on our order was wrong, but I ate it anyway and it was delicious. All of the food was delicious, exceptionally so, so much so, that I'm only going to deduct 1 star for their speed. I didn't even mind the wait, except that I was all ready hungry when I got there. The decor was nice and soothing, right amount of lighting to set the mood and small and intimate without being noisy. So I very much enjoyed the time it took to get food by being able to relax and converse with my date. So I recommend getting there early, about 5 or 530, and order like 3 or 4 apps, and be ready to order your meal at the same time. Maybe more apps depending on how many people are in your party. Then sit back and enjoy.

I’ve tried to like Thai Orchids, but it’s just never going to happen. The first time we dined in, the hostess was cold, unfriendly and visibly disgruntled. It made us squirm. The food took an hour to come out and it was just okay. The second time, same attitude and they forgot any semblance of spice in my food. I had waited too long and felt too unwelcome to send it back. The third time, everyone working in the restaurant was much happier and friendlier and they were very pleasant to chat with. But they were busy and we waited almost two hours for our food. My $13 entrée was lukewarm and clearly made with soggy frozen vegetables. They also forgot the tofu. My visits were spaced entire years apart. I’m convinced this place will just never get it together.

Beautiful find in La Vista. Nice atmosphere, food was better than average! Don't be in a hurry it takes awhile to get your food. It's worth the wait! They close at 2:00 pm. That means they stop serving substantially before 2:00.

Warning: 1) You cannot call in a to go order as the phone line is used for credit card transactions only (yes, this is the 21st century) 2) it takes in excess of an hour for a to go order 3) charged my card a second time two days after my transaction 4) worst customer service ever. 5) sad as I love neighborhood restaurants. Unfortunately, this one needs some work.
