This was an awesome stop on our journey. The place is just like stepping back into the old west. The saloon is nostalgic, as well a the museum. Make sure you also stop at Boot Hill Cemetery, a great history lesson.

My family first stopped at this place on a road trip from Michigan to Colorado roughly 50 years ago (I'm the little scrapper in the middle with a tattoo on my arm). Although we didn't make that trip very often, and I really don't have any memory of our time here, we obviously must have enjoyed it because we came back again the next time we passed through. These photos which were taken in the late 60's show that the place hasn't changed much externally other than some signage updates and I'm sure other families are still enjoying this roadside respite as they pass through Nebraska just as much as we did way back then.

They advertise on their website it opens at 11 am only to get there and realize they stopped serving breakfast at 11 since they opened at 6:30 am... What? Why did I wait hungrily for it to open? And, the country store is closed. Small town thinking and management.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Loved. The old west information. Thanks.
