My absolute favorite place to eat! Everything is local and fresh and the cooks are very creative. The menu changes every two weeks so you will have something different each time you go. The warm atmosphere reminds me of an old farmhouse and you can smell the meals being prepared in the open kitchen. The servers have always been attentive, friendly, and great at making suggestions. The most memorable dish I had was the sweet potato gnocchi. It was sweet and savory with cranberries, almonds, and local maple syrup all combined for one unexpectedly great meal. It can get pricey, but depending on what you order, you can still go here on a budget. Being locally sourced, I say it is well worth it!

Visited for brunch on the Sunday they were introducing the new menu - choices were limited perhaps because of this so we chose the only 2 properly savory dishes available, the food was good and very different from your standard fair. If I was more of a sweet things at brunch time then the options looked even more interesting. If you are looking for a very different from the norm and higher end brunch place in the Laconia, NH - especially if you want cocktails - then this is probably the place for you. It was a bit pricey but that was reflected in the food and the mood, so as long as that is what you are after this place could fit your bill.

Always fresh food from local areas. All the vegetables are in season. The menu is constantly changing as to what is fresh. Not cheap but always worth it!

Great farm to table experience. The menu changes every two weeks. The menu always consists of fresh seafood ,tender meat and fresh seasonal vegetables. The wait staff are professional and very attentive . The servers know the menu so you can ask any questions about any dish. The cocktails are perfectly mixed and generous.

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing meal, our first but certainly not last time visiting your small quaint eatery! We're truly amazed with all the outstanding restaurants we have here in the Lake Region. I do want to bring something to your attention, perhaps you can help me to understand this a bit better. "At Local, your food is truly local! Did you know: each food item in a typical US meal has travelled 1,500 miles? None of our food has travelled more than 138 miles!" We had the Baked Oysters as an appetizer, our server informed us they were PEI oysters... PEI, as in Prince Edwards Island, Canada.... PEI is a bit further than 138 miles from Laconia, over 560 miles in fact... Why not oysters from Wellfleet Harbor, MA? I understand they are some of the finest the Country has to offer.
