The place itself seems to me like a not of love went into it, inside and out. If you take a good look at it, I don't think they had a beautiful spot to start with. Yet the decor is definitely charming. Furthering the charm is the service, which is friendly and quick. They come across as genuinely nice people. Perhaps they keep their menu somewhat limited in order to facilitate their quick, efficient service, because it really was barely a wait at all after ordering, and the food seems fresh. In any case, despite it being a small place, we were seated immediately and did not have to wait long at all for our food. The portions are generous and the pricing is not bad, however the broth to the ramen is rather salty and thick, and oddly I caught what struck me as a distinct and consistent, disconcerting ammonia odor to the noodles. Overall, despite that, I would say the food here is not bad, but it did not for me live up to the boasts of reviews claiming it to be the best in the area. Granted, that is perhaps a matter of personal taste, but in any case, I give the place a solid three.

The ramen and broth were incredibly delicious while not being too heavy on the salt. The ingredients tasted fresh and the normal portion was filling. It’s a very clean place, nicely decorated. The service was good.

Delicious food, loads of flavor, great service, pleasant staff. We stopped in for dinner and had a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back.

A the green curry, gyoza, and iced green tea are to die for. The green curry is such a great balance. I'd recommend asking for softer noodles for new comers. Blackbeard Ramen has my heart

Well, we had very high hopes for this place and were expecting a great meal when we visited on a rainy Tuesday night for dinner but were let down by the food. I'm not sure how this has such a high rating with my fellow reviewers but our ramen was very underwhelming. It was basically flavorless and the broth itself was also not that good. We got the Tonkotsu and Tonkotsu Gyokai but both were very disappointing. The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is that at least service here was good. Overall, not worth driving to fort lee for less than an average bowl of ramen :(
