This restaurant is a joke. Made reservations for Mother’s day. 6:30pm reservations. There was a prix fixed menu. The entire order is placed up front and they were out of half the desserts. We ordered 3 surf and turfs with a 12 oz sirloin and a lobster tail. We got the food and one of the plates was missing the drawn butter. The waiter told us they were out of steak knives because it’s towards the end of the night. Never heard of such a thing. The food was so so. My lobster tail was luke warm. The service staff was hard to find and would forgot to bring things we asked for / ordered. The ultimate insult is that a mandatory 20% gratuity was added on for all of this. I guess they have to add on a service charge otherwise they would be eve make any money with this kind of service. Avoid this place.

We stopped by on a Sunday lunch. It was quite busy. Almost all tables were taken, we choose to sit outside. The crowd is usually friendly and includes many children. The menu was varied with lots of interesting and enjoyable items to choose from. The food is definitely the top notch of this place. This was a recommendable place.

Had a comfortable lunch last Monday there. Great Angus burger and fries to lounge over. Limited on-the-street meters available; bring quarters. Less crowded in area then. Nice way to start the week!

We took my mom to Dolphin for Mother's Day 2018. There was a pre-set menu from which to choose 3 courses. As soon as we sat down for our 6:30pm reservation, our waitress informed us that they were already out of most of the desserts. This was obviously very poor planning on the part of the restaurant. For a starter, I ordered tomato bisque. It was lukewarm and extremely bland. My husband and mother ordered Caesar salads and said they were good. For mains we all ordered the surf and turf. The steak and lobster were cooked very nicely and had great flavor. Unfortunately, when the waiter delivered our steaks he announced that the (mostly empty) restaurant was out of steak knives and indicated we should use our butter knives to cut the steak (ridiculous). Finally our other waitress delivered steak knives. For dessert we all had the cheesecake, which was pretty good. Although the main course was good, I doubt we would return to Dolphin. The decor was underwhelming (it seemed more like a classy bar than a nice restaurant), the food was inconsistent, and the staff was disengaged. One waitress was screaming to another staff member across the restaurant right over my chair until I turned around and she realized she was being obnoxious. The place just doesn't seem polished enough to justify its prices, which is unfortunate because it's got a great location and a lot of potential.

We love everything about this place. Always pleasant and friendly along with some some good food. Very comfortable and right at the waterfront.
