Clean and somewhat friendly restaurant. Waitress who took our order never really checked on us to offer to get us another beverage. I ordered fried pork chunks and there weren't many in the plate. Seemed a little cheap on the meat portion. I have been to other Spanish food restaurant where the portions were more family style. All in all bill was $17 for (2) dinners and side order of Yucca. ( Cassava for the non Hispanics) they only serve pork shoulder ( Pernil ) during the holidays. re: Thanksgiving and Christmas I assume :(

Growing up in home with a dominican mom and traditions, i was fortunate to eat some of the best food in the world. I guess i'm being bias but those that have eaten dominican food, prepared the right way know how lucky i was. The adverse effect of growing up is you move out and have to try to cook these like your parents would only to fall short. Thank god for Sabroso. They are legit as close as it get to her cooking when it comes to the soup, or the mangu with queso frito, or even the bistec enscebollado (when i used to eat meat). The rice is always cooked right, and if you have any personal complaints about preparation the staff is always so friendly and immediately prepare it to your liking. Venture into the true heart of new brunswick, sit, enjoy a freshly made Morir SoÅĆ’ando and indulge.
