Amazing food. The gnocchi and spicy vingear pork chops are my favorite but everything is good. Serves is great. Waitress treat you like family. Only down side is that it is very small, 8 tables only. So make sure to get a reservation.

Augustino's, in my opinion, does not deserve the titles that it has been awarded. Best in NJ for Italian... probably not. I ordered the seafood salad, and my boyfriend ordered the veal. My salad was too oily, and had no flavor whatsoever. My boyfriend's veal had no dressing, and was pounded to much and was overly breaded. The restaurant does not accept card - it only accepts cash - which is an inconvenience. They do not issue a receipt unless you request it. There are plenty of other places to dine in Hoboken that offer a bar better experience!

Overall experience was awful. The pompous, we're the best attitude only works if you have the food to back it up. Which they don't. The staff was incredibly rude. They have strict reservation slots, that they don't communicate with you until they are physically kicking you out. So if you enjoy an overpriced, mediocre meal, while being rushed, this is the place for you! If not, avoid this place. Should also add, cocktails are $25.

I went for the first time this past week and I was floored by how great everything was. Someone else did note in a review that the specials can be deceptively expensive, but even those were well worth the cost. The eggplant rollatine was easily the best I've ever had, the filling was incredibly creamy. There was only one in the order, so I would get another if I got it again. The pork chop was an enormous amount of meat, several inches thick and covering the whole plate, and delicious and moist. It was served hot peppers, which was a perfect compliment. The pasta was also perfect (I got rigatoni carbonara), the sauce was rich and flavorful, the portion was large but not excessive. Overall, a really nice experience. It was warmly decorated for Christmas and my party was treated very kindly by the staff. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and patient and service was very efficient.

Recommended to eat here by someone from our local office and it was amazing! Super good, great local service and honestly whenever I am back in NY / NJ I will make an effort to come here for a meal. Thank you all
