The deck at Baia is not for the faint at heart, it is for true Party People! With live entertainment, tasty drinks, hot eats, and the best view of a sunset in all of South Jersey, Baia is not to be missed. The prices aren't bad, service is good, on site parking in the front for motor vehicles and dockside parking in the back for water vehicles. Easy to locate, too. Come ready to dance the night away, make new friends, and lots of great memories Jersey style!

Went there tonight to have some drinks by the bay. The place was busy as expected on a Saturday night at 8:30pm, but it didn't look completely full. We walked up to the hostess and asked if there were any seats available outside. She said no, they were "sold out". I then asked how long the wait was, she said the wait list was full and they were completely "sold out". Essentially we were turned away. On the way out we took a peak on the deck expecting to see this place jam packed. To our surprise there were several tables open including a bar table along the waterfront. Leaving we felt like we were profiled, as the couple in front of us walked in asked for a deck seat, and were pointed to proceed to their desired seat. I realize this place caters to summer travelers, but as a local this was disappointing. I've never been just turned away from a restaurant without the option of waiting for an open seat.

The views are stunning. The food and service even better. Great place to dine.

1hr+ wait for undercooked pasta. 15 min wait for each beer. Place wasn't busy.

Poorly managed: inconsistent seating arrangements; sometimes you can order food at bar high tops, sometimes you can't; long wait, but lots of open tables. Can you order food at the bar, and then eat it at the high tops? Who knows? You used to be able to order sandwiches for dinner on the deck...not anymore...now it's the same fine dining menu for both inside and outside, but they don't tell you that until you've waited an hour for a table and are handed the menus. The food itself is good, but takes forever. One member of our party's meal came out at least 30 minutes before the rest; he was finished eating by the time the rest of us got our meals. The servers are very polite and attentive. The bread/bus guy was extremely helpful and made sure we didn't starve while waiting. The owner/manager seemed receptive to our criticism, and offered us a gift card. So, we'll give it one more try. But, they really need to rethink how they use the deck; it's not the most conducive space for fine dining. At the very least they should make clear that the menu for the deck has changed before customers wait an hour expecting to order something that is unavailable. Here's hoping they can get it right, because they have the best bayside deck at the shore...the perfect space to take in the sunset and enjoy a few cocktails and sandwiches after a long day at the beach.
