Terrific BBQ. Authentic-looking location. Service is quite good. We had the combo platter with pulled pork, brisket and ribs. The barbecue was tasty and authentic. And the sauces were good, the BBQ really didn't need them. Oh, and by the way, we were also given a huge amount of fries. Which were also well done.

Restaurant seemed pretty cool at first. Great employees. Owner was nice. The food however unfortunately was not. Good BBQ sauces and rub but the food wasn't cooked properly. The ribs and brisket were very tough. If they got the cooking down definitely would be 5 stars

Pricier BBQ than nearby competitors. The service is good. Wings are decent. Like the fact you can put different kinds of sauces on your meat. They have a neat bourbon selection and carries Rockland's OG Defiant craft beer on tap. They have arguably the best mac n cheese in the county.

My co-worker and I went for lunch. We usually go to Stickey's in Hillsdale, but we found out they closed down not too long ago. Southbound BBQ is the closet BBQ from our office, and since we were in the mood for BBQ we decided to go there. It took awhile to get our food (and being we were there for lunch, we don't have a ton of time). That's the only reason why I am rating it 4 STARS rather than 5. The food was worth the wait. I had their MAC N CHEESE and it was SUPER YUMMY. My co-worker had the chicken breast sandwich and she enjoyed it as well. Although, she did mention the fries were cold. The staff was very friendly. It is a little pricier than what we are used to for lunch, but worth the extra few bucks. Overall, it was a good experience and will most likely be back.
