The food was amazing. The people were friendly. It reminded me of Mexico when we would visit my grandma. Some of the stuff was made differently then I'm use it. But it was great never the less. It's a little pricey but we'll worth it. Also the torillas were so fresh. Have to say my favorite place outside of Texas to go for mexican food.

We have always grabbed something to go. This time, we decided to stop in. Our waitress could've been a bit more attentive to our table. She was too busy getting everything cleaned to close for the day. Our food was delicious as always, though.

Ate here for dinner one night because of the rave reviews on trip advisor. It was alright. The food seemed authentic but to be honest overpriced for the portion size. We ordered the chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada meals. I was still hungry when I left, something that has never happened to me at a Mexican restaurant before. Because of the high number of Mexican food options in Carlsbad I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

This place isn't the same. Service is quick and friendly, however, the Food isn't worth the price of the plate. Over priced.

We have had great service and not so great (not as attentive as we would like). Staff has always been friendly. English is occasionally a barrier, but usually another staff member can help. I'm surprised to see complaints about serving size and cost. Cost is in line with every other restaurant in town. Honestly I've paid more for fast food like Arby's or KFC or our local "fast food" place - Church Street Grill. I'm not a small eater and I haven't gotten anything that wasn't enough. Hubby loves the menudo and the chunky green pork (semi spicy). I like steak ranchero (super spicy), posole (best I've had at a restaurant - medium to hot depending on day), steak flautas. My friends like the breakfast plates and the tacos de alambre. Not fond of the "usual plates" chile relleno - enchiladas. But everyone has different tastes. It is a very old building and could use a facelift. I have occasionally gotten my food not so hot, but it happens everywhere. Overall we like it.
