California pizza kitchen has always been my go to place. I take my friends and family there very often. I have been going there for years. The food is always fresh and the selection is great. The service is outstanding and I'm treated like royalty. What more can I say? I highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner any day of the week. California pizza kitchen in Scarsdale, New York has become a staple in Westchester and it's always busy with a great atmosphere to be in. I recommend the warm vegetable salad, the tomato bisque soup and for dessert the caramel salted putting. California pizza kitchen always will have my vote.

Very family friendly. Staff is young but friendly and strives to be helpful. Space is clean and bright. Food is a bit overpriced but decent and came fairly quickly. The place overall has the feel of a pricier Applebee's. For a place with 'Pizza' in the title, the pizza could have been a little better. the crust was not crispy, the sauce was meh, and the cheese was overwhelming.

Beer selection could be better. Barbecued chopped chicken salad is not as good as it was way back, but it's still good. Prices keep going up.

EDIT: "The management team was professional and nice enough to reach out and apologize for our bad experience. In light of my experience they promise to improve the staff service so that future customers will not have a bad experience. My original review was 1 star but I will bump it up to 3 out of 5 stars for their swift and thoughtful apology. Who knows maybe a future visit to this place will earn them a full 5 star review. If I can’t then maybe you should visit and see the changed for yourself. Enjoy" BELOW IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: This Scarsdale location has mediocre food and confusingly high prices but what made my blood boil was the lack of service! Unless you are in the wait staff's friends/family circle then stay FAR away from this place if you want any sort of table service. (most of the 5 star reviews for this place are written by friends and families of the staff!) Our wait service was so absent I wrote this review waiting 30 minutes before a wait staff person came back to check on us. Actually let me correct that she did not come back to check on us only give us a Check to pay for horrible service! When we arrived my toddler was sleeping in the car and our hungry 12 year old just wanted a cheese pizza and coke so I ordered at the take out counter. A seven inch cheese pie and coca cola was billed at $19 to my surprise! The girl at take out was friendly and said that was the price for the seven inch pie but recommended that the five inch cheese pie was much cheaper at $5.95. The large coca cola was $3.95 so that meant if one upgraded from the five inch $5.95 pie to the larger seven inch $15.95 pie the extra two inches of pizza is $10?! When you have hungry kids as parents we rather pay money than have them complain so I unhappily paid thinking the menu pricing was a scam. Fortunately for us my 2 year old woke up before the 12 year old's cheese pie came out so we went in to eat at a table booth next to the bar area. Initially the service was swift with a waitress attending our table as soon as we sat down. I ordered a grilled chicken club salad combo for $17 and when I asked to get the chicken well grilled I was informed it is pre-made, shipped in a plastic wrap and warmed up to serve! After reflecting on the steep price I was paying for frozen microwaved chicken sandwich I decided on changing my order to a pizza instead but it was not meant to be because we NEVER saw our waitress again. A Bus-Boy bought out the food out 10 minutes later which was quicker than average. However he dropped everything on the table in a mess and ran off. My sandwich was tasty but my Cesar Salad was dry, dirty and littered with soggy croutons. The kids' pizzas were dry and I swear they microwaved those too. I ordered a Root Beer but was stuck with a Pepsi my entire meal with absolutely no one attending our table in a mostly empty but fully staffed eatery for almost 30 minutes to see if we need anything. Meanwhile one of the staff's friends/family was sitting at the table booth behind us which allowed us to see how bipolar the California Pizza Kitchen service was. That friends and family table behind us was a hot spot hang out for many of the wait staff who sat down, joked, laughed, offered coupons for meals, and bought food and drinks out quickly to them. I attempted to get help from the flock of wait staff hanging out but apparently we were told someone would get the girl who had our table. It was Saturday before Easter Sunday and the restaurant was mostly empty as well which made the lack of service worse! I wasn't expecting VIP treatment but basic service should not have been too much to ask. 25 minutes later our waitress finally came back to drop off a set of stained desert menus and the Check (yes at the same time) before running away. I had to grab her arm to ask for a take home food container for my daughter's pepperoni pizza which dry and barely covered in pepperoni. See pictures attached.

Pizza and service were very good. The only drawback is that this is a very cramped location.
