Back in town to visit friends and family, we stopped here for lunch. It's been years since we've been here and it's amazing how much it's still like it was when it opened. Yup, we knew the originators before the place opened, and have been coming here since say one. Food is still excellent, the Creamy Mushroom soup is a must-have. Atmosphere and service is very relaxed and family-friendly. I could go on, but come find out for yourself. Good stuff!

There aren't many places in Binghamton that cater to vegans or zero wasters. This place is so cute, the food is all so good, the staff is all incredibly kind and considerate, and you won't feel like you're asking to much if you want to know stuff that would be ridiculous in most restaurants (do you use chicken stock in your soups... Does your coleslaw come in a plastic cup...) After my meal they took my reusable container and filled it up with some vegan chili to go and I couldn't have been happier.

Extremely disappointed. Pasta special—pasta was undercooked, cold, and dish was flavorless. My granddaughter ordered stir fried vegetables. On the menu this said it was cooked in light oil. Instead, she received vegetables cooked in a tamari ginger sauce. Since she can’t eat soy, she couldn’t eat this dish. Even though we brought this to the attention of the host, they did nothing to fix it and we were charged full price for a dish that was inedible and whose description on the menu was inaccurate. Our waitress seemed unconcerned about our issues with the meal. The pasta dishes came out and then we had to wait for other meals. The experience was so disappointing I would never go there again.

I absolutely adore Whole in the Wall! Eliot, the owner, is a culinary expert and am so happy I'm able to live close enough to try his newest creations and lasting favorites! I had the Gumbo the last time I visited and it was one of the top Gumbos I've ever had -- and that's saying something since I lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (an hour from New Orleans) for 6 years, where I had Gumbo at least once a week when I lived there! So thanks Eliot for allowing me to truly enjoy something I miss a lot! One last thing I want to say is that if you ever go to Whole in the Wall when they have Pierogi Lasagna on special-- get it! It's my favorite dish there but only available a couple times a year! Can't wait for when they have it again!! In all, Whole in the Wall is a hidden gem and they are a great dining experience that anyone who lives in or visits the Binghamton needs to visit!! 😁😁😁😁😁

Great vegan/gluten free options! This is a tiny place but the food is fresh and worth the visit!
