The Sushi was tasty. I went for the restaurant week to try it out. I got the weeks sampler special. It had a spicy tuna roll, 3 pieces of sashimi, noodles, and a bigger single roll. Overall I had a good experience. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the servers knew "their regulars" and were super friendly but not so much to others.

Came in due to the positive reviews we found of this place and was met by the same attitude, which is great because I knew that this place was different compared to other sushi menu's I've come across in the past. The server and host were friendly, and our server was so helpful in recommending, as well as explaining a lot of the ingredients and flavours associated with their menu. We started off with a couple rounds of sushi like the caramel sauce mushroom and seafood sushi which obviously had a sweet touch to it but it was different and I liked it. Next, we ordered another roll with shrimp and salmon, and then ended with the seafood taco. They were all done well in our opinion and were so stuffed we didn't bother with dessert. I forgot to mention that they serve you some gourmet popcorn when you sit down so you have something to munch on while you wait. The ambiance at the time was very quiet and laid back. The decor was dark, with lots of blues, and I liked how their tabletop cloth had an interesting leathery texture to it which I don't normally see in sushi restaurants. Overall my experience was good and would like to come again to try some different dishes.

Such a great spot. The food is always super high quality, and the atmosphere is lovely. I love the color changing light son the bar and the walls. One time I went I was given a tasty popcorn when I sat down, but that was a few years ago- they stopped doing that but I remember that with fondness. Overtime I have gone, I am blown away by the quality of the dishes- the fish is super fresh and in generous amounts, and the dishes are unique and different form your run of the mill sushi restaurant. I recommend this place as a great date spot, or a place to celebrate some good news (that's why I was there last!). It's a little pricier than I would normally do, so I only go for special occasions- but each time I am blown away.

Seabar never disappoints. Their coconut curry soup is to die for, and their sashimi is the best I've had. Always a treat!

NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY! I have several food allergies and intolerances that can be difficult for restaurants to work with, so always contact in advance to see if they can accommodate them. We contacted the restaurant in advance of making a reservation where we shared the specific allergies and were told 'yes they could accommodate and could provide some delicious options.' When we arrived and sat down to order, we again confirmed the allergies and were told that they couldn't work with it. If they couldn't have accommodated the allergies, we would have appreciated knowing that in advance (instead of them being dishonest about it). If you have food allergies, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
