Another amazing restaurant in Buffalo, opened about four years ago in what was previously a dive bike bar I believe. Bigger than I expected, with a comfortable dark and rustic atmosphere. I had a couple of extremely high maintenance friends in our group, and our server Steve couldn't have been more patient, taking time to answer all our question and making accommodations. The food was exceptional. Even before we started, they brought out a basket of three different breads (warm and baked in-house) with olive oil and spread. Delicious. We shared the Nickle City Bread Board ($18) and everyone in our diverse group found something they enjoyed. I chose the Roast Chicken Breast ($28) and was very pleased. Finally for dessert, I had the Citrus Tart ($8). I recommend this as one of Buffalo's finer restaurants.

Best ever in Buffalo. Say what ya want...but most people round these part might prefer pizza & wings..this is the type of place to die for. Changing menu keeps it fresh and allows for me to be constantly educated on amazing food. Thank you, Steve & Ellen for such a great place.

Had a great brunch with delicious food and delightful service. We arrived right at 11am with no reservation and they had room at the bar. Beautiful restaurant and unique menu options. My only comment would be it’s a very large portion, so arrive hungry and even ready to take left overs. Our service was fantastic and food came at a perfect time. Will try dinner next time we’re in Buffalo!

Always a special treat to visit the Black Sheep. I love taking out of town visitors here and sharing lots of small plates. Exquisite food, great service, fun cocktails, cozy ambience. In my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time.

While I have eaten there many times as a diner, I would like to say that I have had the pleasure of working with the Gedras in a professional setting as well. The organization I work for has had private events at the Black Sheep about once a year and everyone has always enjoyed the food and drinks (as expected) but the Gedras have been wonderful to work with as well. I've worked closely with the chef/owners to create a customized experience for our guests. Additionally, time and time again they have been flexible during the event to suit our needs. I would whole-heartedly recommend The Black Sheep to anyone looking to hold an intimate event.
