This is my favorite restaurant in the area. Every time I bring a group of friends, they are always impressed and surprised by the quality and quantity of food. I recommend any and all of the appetizers and then there are so many entrees to choose from still.

A cozy place. We went for a lunch but it felt like a dinner date. Such a relaxing environment even when it was packed. Family style plates, quiet atmosphere, delicious! Perfect place to meet for conversation.

I was suspicious of a la Shanghai because the bathrooms are clean & there are no Christmas decorations in July. But this Chinese restaurant is excellent, with Shanghai specialties & a thoughtful menu of Chinese dishes. Start with soup dumplings & move on to seasonal specialities such as spicy seafood pot or fish with hot peppers. Down home cooking is also on the menu--intestines with sour cabbage. Service is cordial; ambiance is comfortable. Take-out too. A la Shanghai has never disappointed. Convenient location on Troy Schenectady Rd/NY 9.

Soup dumpling and Dim Sum, one stop shop. I love this place especially since they have remodelled. If you enjoy steamed dumpling goodness or traditional Asian fare, come and get some!!!

Incredible food incredible service make sure to make a reservation. I had the Peking duck along the fried eel in the lo mein it was some of the greatest food of ever had in my life and only came out to about $40. I was actually served by the owner of the establishment who genuinely seem to care about helping the guide through the menu. Go outside of your comfort zone at this restaurant because everything is delicious.
