The old palms restaurant. Owned by Joe. He brought back little Italy back. Pesto fresh. Salad fresh. Laid back, little dark ambiance. The scallops were flaky and tender. Very reasonable price. The conversations with Joe are 1 million on how he opened 1157 north. Staff is very knowledgeable to food and wine pairing. The Desert are HANDMADE and so damn good. Go check it out!!!

My husband took me here tonight for an early birthday dinner. I had the seafood special which was salmon and he had the chicken scampi. We both thought our dinners were really good but wished the entrees were a bit more flavorful. We seen all the great reviews about the calamari appetizer so we ordered it. I have to be honest...it was not that good. A little on the bland oily side for us but if others love it then I'm glad. I did live that fact that when they bring the bread it comes with finely diced garlic and spices with the oil on the side so you can mix as much or as little as you like.

Classy kind of place... But felt out of place due to not being a well off financial person. Prices were great, service was friendly up till the last 10 min we were there. Took my plate before I was finished eating. Felt like they were trying to make us leave. Won't ever return due to that reason...

The staff is great and the food is good. The atmosphere is great with the exception of it being a tad too dim. Owners were nice and we were able to eat at the bar as we forgot to make a reservation.

Love this place. Have never had a bad meal there. The food is delicious, the menu varied, the owner Joe is wonderful and makes sure that you have an enjoyable time. We always leave happy and full. Went to a wonderful 6 course wine dinner there last night with excellent food and wine pairings.
