A more accurate rating would be 3.5 but I digress. It was a Friday night and busy to the brim. While the bar was able to get alcohol out to my friends while we stood there waiting for 45 minutes (we had been told 10, then 30...), I had asked for water that I didn't get until 10 minutes before we were seated. The margarita I eventually got was delightful though. Food wise, it was rather hit or miss. The buffalo wings were enormous and perfectly cooked. For most of my friends entrees it seemed they were satisfied. There wasn't much I could order due to dietary restrictions, however I found some fish tacos. They could have been better to be honest but I'm not going to analyze tacos on a review post. Let's just say I was not impressed or craving a second bite but these sad wet tacos were $15+ and my mama told me not to waste food. I would have eaten more of the popcorn they set out if it wasnt like dipped my hand into an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

In my top 3 favorite restaurants in Nassau county. Every time I go back it's the best meal I've had all year. Gets a little pricey of you order anything more than just dinner, but they're on Groupon a lot which is nice. 100% recommend for every one

Great place for Brunch! Small little place that fills up fast. Better get there prior to noon or you will be waiting, but the food makes it well worth it. Avalon took great care of us at the bar. The place is very " family friendly" and even had Bubble Guppies on the TV for the kids. Not a single crying baby in the place,. We saw fantastic teamwork from everyone working but the food was out of this world! I had Chicken and Waffles and my wife had the Temple Sandwich. Potato Latkes, eggs and lox, all stacked with cream cheese. And my chicken and Waffles were topped with my scrambled eggs,( Sorry, I don't eat the eggs runny.) We had the Mimosa set up which included a Bottle of Champagne and a carafe of OJ. How could we go wrong. The place was busy throughout our visit and we will definitely be back. $$ but well worth it.

Don't let the 3 stars fool you the food is awesome, the wait staff is terrific and the jalapeño margaritas are to die for. The 3 star rating is because it's so loud. This was my 4th visit in 2 months and there was a large table with the most obnoxiously loud people. The couple next to us got up and walked out. The manager couldn't exactly shut up the biggest loud mouth, but it ruined the entire dining experience. I sure will miss this place, food is superb!! Hopefully when you all try it it won't be so bad.
