Simplistic decor, but the food was really good. The corn tortillas weren't dry and tasteless like most are. Not sure what they did to them, but keep it up! Very tasty. Maybe the best Mexican eatery in Hamburg.

I love that Hamburg has a Mexican restaurant, and I can tell the kitchen staff take their time preparing the food which is always appreciated. It's refreshing to see some more authentic items on a menu, although there are no descriptions and that makes ordering really frustrating. Unfortunately our waitress was seriously lacking in basic training. My daughter asked her what the Sidral was like and we were told she had to go and ask "because she was new and had no idea". She came back and just sat it on the table and that was that (?? we didn't order it, we just wanted to know what it was). I ordered a water, I had to remind her 3x to bring it. I asked if veggie tacos came with beans, that took forever to figure out (they don't, its just broccoli and peppers). Eventually the hostess just took over our table (as well as the table across from us) and seemed really annoyed. The vibe was super tense and we just felt so awkward. I could go on, the whole experience was the weirdest I've had in a restaurant. I think with good staff training and better menu descriptions this place could have potential, but we probably won't be back.

Good food. I had 4 different tacos, no meat. Good vegetarian selection. Cactus taco, yum!

This is the best Mexican in the city. It started out in South Buffalo a Valle of Mexico, then moved to Hamburg as Valle of Mexico II, and now it has been rebranded and under new management and ownership by an incredibly capable and talented woman, and is called Mexico City. This restaurant has had it's ups and downs over the years while getting its footing, but do not judge this place by its past iterations. This is THE best Mexican, and the most authentic in the area. The food quality is always top notch and never disappoints. I cannot say how much I love the mole sauce- it is what mole sauce SHOULD be. Everything from he salsas, the tamales, the guacamole, the flan, all the meats- every single thing is hand made, and made with love and recipes that have survived generations. It is my favorite comfort food, and food that everyone I share it with is in love with after. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and you need to get there and try it for yourself.

This place is absolutely amazing! Wife orderd shrimp fajita, they brought it out and it was sizzling and it was to die for. Tacos are superb and made excellent. 10/10 will definitely return and recommended.
