Always a great place. Broiled fish with macaroni salad & sweet potato fries. Homemade French onion soup & fresh Maryland crab cakes. All were amazing. I wish I remembered my servers name because she is the best. She kept my drinks coming, the food came out quick, and she gives service with a smile. I love this place. Best seafood place in Buffalo.

The best meal I have had there since moving to Lackawanna area. My wife and I had prime rib. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The meat was tender. The potatoes were mashed and not instant. It had a great texture and creamy taste. The soup was New England clam chowder, creamy well seasoned and not too thick. My one son ordered the admiral's player. He loved the shrimp, scallops and fish. He never had clam strips so it was interesting to watch him try them. He was not impressed. My other son ordered a chicken sandwich. Though tasty he suffered from plate envy.

Happened to be a Friday so I ordered new England clam chowder. Delish, chock full of clams, a hearty creamy soup. Very busy for a 4:30 Friday afternoon and didn't slow down for the 2 hours we were there. Great wait staff, attentive and friendly.

Excellent food but a very noisy atmosphere. If you're trying to enjoy the conversation with the party you are eating a meal with it's likely you won't be able to hear what they're saying. There is a female bartender that's blonde who cackles when she laughs it sets the tone in the bar and the volume is escalated exponentially. I'm going to try going there on a different day even though the fish fry is excellent.

My experience was awful We had drinks at the bar started a tab and tipped out two bartenders no problem there. Had dinner waitress was totally under standards. Paid the bill and tipped her on her service. She accosted me in the restaurant and told me I should have tipped her based on the total bill. Telling me she would have to pay tax on the total bill not MY Problem. She sucked her service sucked. I called the manager when I got home the response was the Worst. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this resturant so many to choose from compared to this worst experience I have ever had. I personally spent 20 years in the industry and never have heard of a waitress demanding more money . Totally unbelievable. Don't go to Rodneys.
