I'm sad to say I'm not too impressed. I ordered fried pork chunks and in San Juan, fried pork chunks are just that they have the skin nice and toasted and it's fatty and juicy. Mine were paper thin, cold and dry. The rice and black beans were on point, but the fried platanos were over cooked. The staff although friendly took 10 minutes to acknowledge my existence and there were in my 2 people here. With myself included. Not sure if I will come back but I hope they continue to do well.

The fried chicken was too greasy and the rice was flavorless. Nice service though.

First the positive. The food was good, flavorful, reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. One issue was the phone and customer service. Very poor phone skills, the worker struggled to explain the menu over the phone. It would be helpful if the menu was available online. Second issue, the portions are so small not worth the drive from Nyack for takeout. I ordered a side order of yellow rice and the container was practically empty. One final comment on the mofongo. It was different, made with bacon (not traditional). I had higher expectations and was let down.
