Called at 0848, reserved hibachi for four, 1800. Simon’s called back at 1541, to confirm our table. Was told 1800 was no problem, we were good to go. But we weren’t. Showed up 1745, ordered drink at bar. Wine (house cab. sauv.) was oxidized. The bartender said she thought it had been opened a while and gladly opened a new bottle; new glass was great. Good thing too, because it was to be the last drink I’d have for a while. We were seated at our hibachi table at 1843. I nursed the glass of wine for over an hour before the waitress at the table inquired into next drinks. Our counterpart family at the table hadn’t even received their waters. Follow up drinks came separately, waitress needed to be reminded several times. Took three reminders for other family’s coffees. Waitress unapologetic. Soup and salad didn’t come out till after 1930. The soup had ONE piece of mushroom in it, the salad had ONE small piece of tomato and cucumber. Iceberg lettuce was just beginning to brown. The hibachi cook was the only good part about the evening. He was great, very entertaining, and the food was good. However, we received zero water refills or orders for follow up drinks. It was not busy for a Tuesday night. At check out, it took them 3 failed tries to get us correct bills. We ended up handwriting our orders for them to put into the computer. Overall, food was great, literally everything else was terrible. Cherry on top, my pregnant wife shouldn’t be responsible to track down toilet paper. We’ve visited several times in the past. Unfortunately, each time has been increasingly worse. We’ll stick to Thai 119 from now on.

Don't bother calling ahead. You won't get a seat for an hour either way. And they add an 18% tip on groups of eight or more. Food wasn't bad though.

I took my wife here on a rare date. At first , we were less than impressed with the venue but once we were taken to the hibachi, we became fans. Our chef was extremely entertaining and the food from both him and the sushi bar was delicious!!! Overall the bathrooms were sub-par and the bar was not adequately stocked. We will return and I do recommend overall!!!

It's gone down hill. Once upon a time I would have said this is a 4 star restaurant. The rice was great...but I probably got enough rice to feed my family of 4 for a week. The scallops were tough. Hardly any vegetables... AND by the way, the vegetables were 1 mushroom, 1/8 slice of zucchini and about an entire onion. Staff was excellent- our cook was good, waitress was good. There was a woman cleaning off our table and she was rushing us out. Interrupted my conversation 4 times asking people (who were eating) if they wanted their plates cleared. And...they haven't not kept up the restaurant...I would even say it was dirty. Old floors, old walls, dirty bathroom...I MUCH prefer Mt. Fuji In Elmira by (Hobby Lobby near the Arnot mall). I probably won't go back to SImons unless I'm invited for another celebration.
