Nice waiters, but unfortunately very BAD cooks and expensive for what you get, especially because of hidden fees. Make sure you read the menu very well. I was charged additional extra $ for choosing linguine instead of fettucine! Go figure. Use of a lot of sauce in the pasta dishes, to the point that only the top of the pasta emerges from the sauce. All the food we order was gross. Totally disgusting! I should have taken pictures to show how bad it was. My pasta plate had one inch of water at the bottom! Too bad, because it used to be a good place! Extremely disappointed by this experience. I will never go again.

I absolutely adore Aladdin’s. Located in the heart of Collegetown, Aladdin’s is one of the few places around to get a fresh and healthy meal at a reasonable price. I almost always order a salad from here, and it’s always very crisp and refreshing. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful.

We go for group lunches at Aladdin's. The service and food are excellent. It's actually a pretty spacious place relatively speaking.

I feel like this restaurant doesn't get nearly as much recognition as it deserves. The food is healthy, tasty, and at a really great price. The service is fast and friendly too.

Underwhelmed. I was craving greek food during finals week, and was thrilled to find that IthacaToGo had a Mediterranean restaurant in its portfolio. Delivery fees aside, the price was reasonable. Since this was my first time eating Aladdin's, I ordered my usual greek fare: a gyro and a side salad. In my experience, these are two Mediterranean classics which act as a good indicator for the restaurant as a whole. The Gyro: The pita was flavorful, but doughy and undercooked. It lacked the tan spots a pita ought to have. The meat was decent, but had an overwhelming beef flavor which drowned out any taste of lamb (Traditional Greek Gyro meat is served without beef). It was served without lettuce, but pretty fresh tomatoes. The most disappointing part, however, was the Tzatziki sauce. It was extremely runny, and didn't seem yogurt based at all. The Salad: The salad was much prettier than its counterpart, but wasn't great either. It was served with a slice of pita on top, which was different from that on the gyro. This pita was thin, dry, and tasted store bought. The salad was also topped with feta cheese, fresh tomato, and cucumber - all of which were great, except the cucumber slices were way too big to fit in a single bite. The dressing was TERRIBLE, effectively straight olive oil with some oregano, hardly any vinegar. The salad greens were fresh, but loaded with mizuna - a rather strongly flavored Japanese leaf that is (rightfully) atypical in Mediterranean cuisine.
