This is a most wonderful restaurant in Kingston New York. It is one of the few places that serves really authentic great tasting simple dishes. Try the lentil soup for instance, it tastes just like my mother used to make it and she grew up in Italy! A wonderful assortment of custom calzones and pizzas cook to order and absolutely delicious. There is a variety of antipasti , prepared in the authentic manner , simple and very tasty . There are also pasta specials and more, I recommend it, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, it has good ambience and the owner is a very nice friendly man who knows how to cook! What's not to like?!!!

Went here on a recent visit back to Kingston. I used to live there and this was always a favorite of mine. When going back just for a night I had to stop in to get some great pizza! It did not disappoint! I think this place is a hidden gem! To those in the know it's some of the best!

La Florentina is always a treat. We had the hummus with puffy bread; pear, apple, and walnut salad; and Amatriciana pizzas (one with cream sauce, one with tahini for the non-dairy eater), which is pretty much what we always get. As always, the service was great and the food was even better!
