Great location! Expensive bar...mediocre food. Staff very nice. The mud pie dessert was the saving grace, enough for 4 people. Don't get the duck or steak. Overcooked duck, charred bitter tough steak. Great shrimp, good pork belly. Tasteless pork chops. Won't go back.

Your experience starts when you pull into the parking lot! The view is spectacular! Once inside the joy continues with the food, service and of course more of the lovely view. Our first time and it won't be our last. Frank our waiter was wonderful as was the food. I rarely have dessert but this time I had to and it was heaven on a plate. A hidden jewel 25 minuted from my home. We'll be back.

Great food and atmosphere. Beautiful views of Orange Lake. Gorgeous sunset. Outdoor patio. Reservations highly recommended. Braised short ribs a favorite. Loved the salmon, New York strip looked good, fresh bread, Bliss potatoes were yummy. Desserts delicious.

A little overrated. Food was very bland. The steak sauce honestly tasted like water, steak juice, pepper, and corn starch. The appetizers tasted good for the most part, but almost all of our entrees were lacking flavor and complexity. Lobster stuffed fillet of sole (don't know how it's spelt) had very very little lobster (tiny bits). Dessert was good (bread pudding cake). Service was a little awkward but overall pleasant. Some tables are in the open walkway - so many near incidents. Overall would not recommend for the price, and would not go again. But, best to see for yourself.

Came here for a late Valentine’s Day dinner tonight and did not leave disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Merlot and some appetizers to start. The crispy bacon was not as crispy as I expected but it was tender and delicious and melt in your mouth good. We split a beet salad special and it was flavorful and refreshing and extremely satisfying. As we were sitting waiting for our dinners our water glasses never made it more than halfway empty. There was always someone on the floor checking on us to make sure we were okay and topping off our wine glasses from the bottle sitting at our table. For dinner we ordered the 12oz ny strip and a shrimp Veracruz. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the shrimp were the same. The lemon butter scallion sauce that came with the shrimp was heavenly. For dessert we order a cheesecake and the bread pudding and they were both quite good. The service really stood out tonight for me. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. They were knowledgeable about the food and they knew the specials and could make great recommendations. We haven’t been to Lakeview House before but we will definitely be back!
