Our room smelled musty, only one small ceiling light, beds extremely uncomfortable. I would ask for an updated room if you're going to stay. The best part is the balcony and the view of the lake.

If you are going to do a fish fry you might let people know it's breaded some people prefer beer battered.

The showboat motel. My family and I went for my husband’s birthday end of August 2016. We chose this location because it offered a dock for our boat. Originally I was skeptical because of the negative reviews. When we arrived to the motel the restaurant on site had a band playing Jimmy Buffet. I felt like we were on an island get-a-way. The lady at the desk was beyond polite and friendly. We stayed at the two remodeled rooms with a balcony. The rooms were clean, smelled fresh and the view was breathtaking. While staying there our boat ran into electrical issues. The lady who worked at the showboat motel went above and beyond helping us. She wrote down all the stores where we can buy parts, a name of a local man to help us and let my family stay later (without charge) so we could fix our boat. While we were there my daughter swam in their pool – the pool was super clean. The restaurant had really good reasonable priced food. I would recommend anyone to stay here – we will be back next year. This just shows NOT to choose a place based on past bad reviews. I would also recommend Rainbow Cove – The owner there has a heart of gold without his kindness we would have never gotten our boat out of the water. He took my husband to get our truck, let us dock our boat at his location and let us use his launch pad to get our boat out. Without his help we would have been lost. THANK YOU Mr. Jeff.

Decent food. Great location on the water. Needed a bigger beer selection. Excellent wings.
