Anyone who truly knows Italian food knows that Johnny's isn't the be-all, end-all. Schenectady has WAY better Italian restaurants, especially ones who don't screw up orders. They also need to learn to answer their phone during lunch time for those people who want to place and order for pickup (because in house dining takes forever). It either rings busy, or it rings into an answer machine that tells you to leave a message for reservations. Very frustrating. The food is extremely inconsistent. One day it's spot on, nice and hot, and other days you are missing items, getting incorrect orders or they don't give you as much as they have in the past.

This restaurant is a great place for lunch or dinner. The setting is classy casual with a very nice ambiance. I was seated quickly and my server was with me quickly with a very professional attitude which I very much appreciated. When seated they serve you fresh warm bread with oil and balsamic, very tasteful and classy. I ordered the Sicilian Cowboy burger and as a burger lover I was impressed. Very rich and flavorful, this burger is definitely recommended. I can't wait to try there steak which I believe will also be excellent.

Very busy, and very loud. The food is great. We ate at the bar because the wait was so long to get a table. Best Caesar salad I think I've had out ever.

The food is tasty and very affordable, considering the massive portions at Johnny's. So far, I have tried the crispy chicken sandwich and the chicken cutlet Milanese. What can I say? I love chicken cutlets. Both dishes were very satisfying and the chicken cutlets were better than most in the Capital Region in seasoning, thinness and breadcrumb texture. I order the sandwich without the Caesar aioli now because it was too garlicky for my taste, but I will keep coming back.

Wow! This is an incredible place in downtown, great decor, busy, friendly staff but the homemade pasta make this place sing! The photo below is Clam Sauce
