The best risotto I have ever had! The best steak I ever had, you could cut it with a fork it was so tender! The coconut cake is right up there with the steak the best I've ever had! Our server was very nice and well-informed the chef came out to wish us a happy birthday with a candle in our slice of coconut cake which he did not charge us. What a wonderful place! I highly recommend it!

Food was good. Was hoping for a little more taste for the price point to earn 5 stars. The atmosphere was very nice, server was professional and the bartender made tasty cocktails. Offers a nice view of the street as well if you are into people watching.

Not ostentatious, just good. The cheese platter was great allowing you to make your own tastes and combinations. Main courses were very good. Desserts were probably the best. Word of warning, sitting next to the windows proved to be a little loud. Not overbearing, but some might find it too much.

We LOVED our first dining experience here! Michael, our waiter, was knowledgeable, attentive, and very patient with us. He was friendly and gave us excellent explanations for any queries we had about the menu items. The atmosphere was great. The food was excellent - the charcuterie and cheese boards were scrumptious, with the house-made strawberry jam being one of the best we have had! We will be making an effort to head back again before we leave the States (we live in Sydney Australia). Highly recommended!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Food was delicious, service amazing, and hospitality unmatched. They went above and beyond to make my husband feel valued on his birthday with a hand signed card and small gift. Don’t even get me started on the coconut cake...it is reason enough to pay them a visit. Blackbird is an unexpected gem and a MUST stop for anyone visiting Asheville. We will definitely be back.
