Everyone I was with seemed to love this place. We drove 45+ minutes to go eat here and everyone was really excited. I'm not sure if it's a nostalgia thing (everyone I was with has come here for years), but I found the place to be quite average. Mostly fried foods, fish, and comfort food, which I'm a fan of, so don't get me wrong. It was good, but it just seemed like any other place that has a fryer. No extra preparation or special seasonings. Just normal fried food. I recommend this place if you want to eat a lot of fried food for cheap though.

I love Seafood. The food was great but I'm not too big on fried food. You don't have to get fried food but that's mostly what they have.

After a long day of shopping we just happened upon this cozy place and decided to try it. Everyone was glad that we did. The food was amazing. Our table had the fried oysters, catfish, scallops, big shrimp, coleslaw, fries, rice and gravy, hush puppies and green beans. The sides we're meh but we didn't go for the sides. And did I mention that the seafood was delicious!! And the portions were large. This is now one of our favs and we will frequent often.

Always excellent seafood. Have never had any other type of food from there. Only resterarant that I would ever attempt eating fried seafood. The coating is just a dusting of fine cornmeal & their food is not greasy.

Got to the restaurant closer to closing time and it was not problem. My son and I did not feel rushed to get out of the restaurant. I have been coming to Dixie Queen since I was my son's age. Food is always fresh and staff always friendly
