I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. The food was good, not great but definitely good. The location and atmosphere were excellent and service was fairly attentive. We sat on the upstairs deck and was quite peaceful. Sunday brunch, so the menu was slightly different than during regular hours. I would definitely return if I am in town again.

I had their famous shrimp and grits and it upheld its name! The shrimp was seasoned too perfection and they were huge! I love the skillet they cook and serve it in, it makes the flavors pop and retain taste! The service was fast even while they were busy. I loved the ascetic and atmosphere. Very sexy and sophisticated!!

Amazing food amazing atmosphere amazing staff. I would recommend the chicken and gravy with a spring salad it was hard to not finish it all. Update 5/4/18 Have been coming back and bringing friends to Nellie's for over a year. Went this evening and the service was still on point. Unfortunately, the food this evening was not to standard for the price. I had my absolute favorite dish the Chicken and gravy with a spring salad and I have to say, it was not the same. Historically, the spring salad is an excellent blend of goat cheese, candied pecans and fried crispy onions. This evening it was just some lettuce with raw onions and crushed pecans (like ice cream toppings). I was sad to hear they had discontinued the warm bacon vinaigrette as well. The mashed potato had almost quarter potato sized lumps of un-mashed potato. My original rating of this restaurant was an A+ but after tonight it gets a B at best. I hope this is just a one off.

I was very underwhelmed and let down by the restaurant. I heard a lot of great things and was excited to try it, and the only exciting part was leaving. I ordered the chicken fingers, fries, and a cup of coffee. The coffee shouldn't have even counted as coffee, it tasted like weak barely brown water. The chicken wasn't cooked properly. The batter was mushy and undercooked, and the chicken itself was barely fully cooked. The fries were pretty good, hard to mess those up. I loved the barbecue sauce that came with the chicken, though. Honestly I am so disappointed because I really wanted to like this place, but there's just not much I can really say about it other than I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Love the atmosphere, singing staff, great band and of course, food! Had Bourbon Salmon, greens & Maple puréed sweet potatoes. All was excellent! Presentation was nice. The only ebb was being seated near the band on Valentine’s. Had to speak loudly when band played. But we still had fun! The Collard & Artichoke dip is tasty, warm , with a hint of spice. Delicious
