This is a frequent lunch stop for a group of us, and continually pleases. The setting is rustic Appalachia Chic, with a large front porch overlooking a small valley near the Black Mountains and the Eastern continental divide. It is on a straight section of an otherwise curvy, quiet country road. Inside, walls are covered with a unique and entertaining collection of memorabilia. The food is reliably great, service prompt and friendly, and never in a rush to have you leave. We will continue to be regular visitors.

Wonderful mountain cafe in really unique setting. Great food. Go for whatever specials they have going. Small but thoughtful draft list focused on regional offerings. Live music? You bet. Open mic nights, great outdoor venue. Relaxed and laid back. Great for families with kids. I know, it sounds like I own the place.... Wish I did.

I would give it 5 star if it wasn't so damn hot in there. The food and service was amazing! So glad I live right down the road.

A true Hidden Gem, slightly off the beaten path, Straightaway Cafe delivers eclectic atmosphere, live family-friendly music, and down to earth service which makes you feel like family. The large selection of healthy menu items makes the beautiful 10 minute drive across the Eastern Continental Divide worth every delicious bite. The dessert portions are HUGE, and ours were freshly baked, making the whole experience exceptional. Would definitely go back - and bring others with me - next time I'm in the region!

Increadible tasting and quality, very fun music, fun atmosphere and friendly staff that feels like family. A must each time we visit. Organics, grass fed, gluten friendly, but still tasting amazing. Try their Swiss burger and sweet potatoes fries. You won't regret it.
