Food was great! Service was great! I have never seen a staff help each other out like they do here to make sure every customer is happy. I sat at the bar but from what I could tell the regular tables have an amazing view of the ocean. My bartender for the night was Stefen and he was awesome! EAT HERE PEOPLE!!!

One if the more pleasant settings around the waterfront. Great bar staff and all meals can be served at the bar. For a small but great meal try the tenderloin bites with fries. It will fill you up. Any exotic alcoholic drink will be made to perfection. Another option is the Sunday brunch. Sinful but great is the banana Fosters French toast, but go hungry if you intend to eat this. Another great place to meet people.

All in all not the best experience. We made reservations and when we arrived there were very few people in the restaurant. So we requested a table at the window overlooking the water. We were told those tables weren't available and they sat us at a table nearby to the window that had a partial water view. The waiter came quickly and took our drink order. But then after we ordered our entrees it took almost 45 minutes for them to come. The food was good but not worth that wait.

Mid range. Hardly upscale. Portions are good sized, but not much attention to detail. We got the shrimp burger and southern burger (lunch). Fries were the frozen variety, hush puppies were a bit over fried. Burger was good as was the French onion soup ,however the lobster bisque left a cheesy aftertaste and there was a disproportionate amount of bun to shrimp burger. The staff was friendly and efficient .

I had the Calabash Platter. I am very pleased to report that at age 70, I just enjoyed THE BEST platter of this type that I have had in my LIFE! VERY lightly breaded and PERFECTLY lightly fried platter of fish, oysters, shrimp and hushpuppies. Nice slaw to accompany. Every time I go to a restaurant and order a meal like this, at least one of the items is overcooked, tough or buried in fries. Not today at Oliver's! A grand slam home run. Sat at the bar and our barmaid was perfect. Nice cocktails and friendly service. I tipped her well but asked her to forward an additional cash "reward" back to the kitchen to let them know that I really appreciated the PERFECT preparation.
