This place is located immediately outside the Pisgah National Forest. We wouldn’t have stopped if we weren’t there already. It was so good that we would now drive all the way there just for this place regardless of any plans to go into the state park. They offer both Eastern and Western barbecue. Both are really good, but I thought the Western was better. I like both types so it really isn’t a personal bias, I just thought they did a better job with the western variety. They have a great selection of locally brewed beers on tap. This made it all the nicer for me who looks at beer and barbecue as if they were Siamese twins. Some places that feel like this restaurant will serve you beer in plastic glasses (which really should be illegal) but they serve it in glass which was great. I can say with a fair amount of accuracy that they get their Blackberry Cobbler from Heaven itself! To suggest that it was amazing is probably a gross understatement. Don’t miss it – obviously get it with vanilla ice cream.

Never had ribs so tough. Ribs should fall of the bone. They are not trimmed properly. Not very impressed at all. Will not eat here again. Server slow hasn't even re filled drinks. The slaw is runny. Not a great experience at all I have had better just about any where else. Pig slop would be better and they also need wet naps.

Just moved to Brevard back in January and this has become one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. In fact, we eat here so often that we consider ourselves "regulars" at this point. My only issue is that service is hit or miss. We have come in on some busy nights and still seated fairly quickly & received our order in a timely manner. There have been other nights where there weren't many customers, but had to wait quite a while for our drinks and food. There was a night that my order was wrong, but not to the point that it ruined my meal. Tonight we went and it was busy as expected on a Friday night. There was a hostess and she was trying her best with keeping up with things. We stood patiently waiting for a while. But, the entire time we stood there, nobody bothered greeting us, asking how many in our party, adding our name to the list, etc. When another party came in behind us, another staff member preceded to ask them those questions. When I attempted to point out that we were there first and have been waiting, she said "Oh. We'll be right with you" and went back to helping the other party. I assume she thought we were already on the list but we weren't and she wouldn't let me explain. She quickly walked off after helping the other party, who ended up being with another larger party already seated. After that, there were 3 staff members at the hostess station going over the seating chart, etc. Still no greeting, etc. Yet ANOTHER party walked in. They got the greeting, how many in your party, etc. My family still stood there without ANY acknowledgement. That was the point where we walked out. Doubt they even noticed. Basically, love the food, service is hit or miss but, most of the time, good. Please teach the staff to take a moment to LISTEN and also PAY ATTENTION to customers. I didn't mind waiting for a table. We were prepared for that. We weren't prepared for being ignored and simply brushed off when trying to point it out. We still plan on eating here often, but would like to see some consistency with the service.

20 minute wait turned into 45 min wait just to be seated. Going out for dinner shouldn't be a 2 hour experience. Seemed like the teenagers seating people were way overwhelmed. Food was good, portions were too small, and I don't ever say that, but my "large" plate came out with about 5 French fries. Fried pickles were really good. Waitress was busy but friendly, it just took forever to get our food. Sadly, we won't be back. Just overall experience wasn't a good one.

Always good! Ribs are so tender! The owner has even call me to make sure a Togo order was good. I am local and I'm still eating here after many years these folks are always nice friendly and clean!
